The Orinoco Council #39 of the Knights of Columbus will be hosting their annual Free Throw Championship Challenge in conjunction with the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich on Friday, January 25, 2013 at the Boys & Girls Club gymnasium located at 4 Horseneck Lane at 5:30 p.m. The competition is open to boys and girls from 10 years of age to 14 (as determined by their birth date as of January 1, 2013. Please provide a birth certificate or other proof of age). There will be separate divisions for boys and girls and no charge for the competition. 

Contestants will be allowed three (3) warm up shots followed by 15 free throws.  The contestant that scores the most successful free throws will determine the winner.  In the event of a tie, contestants will have a second round of five (5) shots with no warm ups permitted.  Successive rounds of five (5) shots will continue until a winner is determined.

The winner will advance to the District Level competition on Saturday, February 9 at 6 p.m. at Greenwich Catholic School.  Should the winner not be able to compete, the second place winner will represent the Council at the District competition.
